ATTENTION to students taking the family or civil mediation courses with us from April 7, 2020, through December 2021. There has been a new Administrative Order (AO) that changes the requirements to become certified. The amended AO pertains to persons who completed a certified mediation training program on or after April 7, 2020, and is effective through December 31, 2021, as long as an application is submitted to the DRC within the same timeframe. The required mentorship points may have been eliminated for some students. However, mentorship activities may still be needed under the miscellaneous points to obtain family or circuit civil certifications. Click for the amended AO and for the amended mediator qualifications to help our students understand if they will need to obtain mentorship points. Unfortunately, this does not apply to applicants that completed a certified training program prior to April 07, 2020.

Students may opt to reschedule to a class at a later date with a minimum of 21 days written notice to Florida Mediation Training Center (“FMTC”) prior to the first day of class. FMTC makes no guarantees as to the length of time until the next upcoming class and classes may be cancelled or rescheduled at the sole discretion of FMTC. Enrolled students shall not receive a refund within 14 days prior to the first day of class.
